The exhibition was the culmination of an open call inviting staff and students at University of Lincoln and North West University to create or submit existing work on the topic ‘a sense of belonging’. Inviting participants to respond to a number of prompts such as how can Art & Design be used to foster a sense of belonging? What are the barriers to belonging? and so forth (the full brief can be seen here).
Works were collated, curated and installed in the PSP Gallery. The exhibition is an active space, where visitors will be invited to engage and respond to the works and theme of the exhibition. The Zine workshop took place in the gallery on 9th July.
We continued to welcome visitors on the final day of the exhibition with a special visit from the Youth College International, Hong Kong. They really engaged with the exhibition and were fascinated by the typewriter, and proceeded to show us their own works.
